COVID-19 Member News
UP-TO-DATE COVID-19 INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS
Your protection and safety is our priority. As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to develop, we want you to know that Kingston Community Credit Union is doing everything we can to support our members and staff through these difficult and uncertain times. We are implementing actions to protect you and make sure your banking needs are taken care of just as we always do. Our team is here to help. You may be asked to learn how to avoid coming into a branch using a debit card, online banking or any other safe alternative we can offer you, but don't worry we will guide you through any process we recommend and we are there for you until it is set up and you are comfortable with it.
Whether you are self-isolating, looking for ways to practice social distancing, or simply looking to avoid a trip to a branch, we have options available for you to bank remotely. Online and mobile banking offer you the ability to check your balance, pay your bills, and send money among other activities. ATM services are available at all of our branches and through the Exchange Network which allows surcharge-free use of other ATMs in our city and across the country.
We have increased our cleaning and sanitizing efforts throughout our branches and have hand sanitizers for your use as you enter or leave. We are ensuring that your KCCU service representatives can safely continue to process essential financial services including ATM servicing, bill payments, and payroll deposits and to be available to answer your questions or guide you in the right direction.
KCCU understands the need for appropriate measures, due to the ongoing and increased uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and its short and potentially long-term global impact. Our highest priority is the health and safety of our members and employees.
How we are protecting members and staff
We recognize that public health officials deem us to be in a state of emergency, so we are taking appropriate measures to ensure health and safety while protecting our credit union’s critical business functions. We have implemented measures to ensure our branches are being disinfected on an ongoing basis, and we ask members who have symptoms of illness not to attend our branches out of consideration for other members and our employees. We urge members to find more information about the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), symptoms, and how to protect yourself by referring to Public Health Ontario’s website and The Canadian Government's website.
Kingston Community Credit Union will make every effort to provide continuous service for our members in the event of a wider outbreak of COVID-19. Should there be a local outbreak or possible exposure in one of our branches, we will take necessary precautions. Affected branches could be closed should we receive advice to do so from local public health officials.
KCCU will be providing ongoing and regular updates across social media platforms. To ensure you get all notifications we recommend you check for regular updates or follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
