Frequently Asked Questions
Purchases made on your Debit Mastercard® will be withdrawn directly from your linked KCCU account. This includes in-store purchases, online purchases, and ATM transactions.
With a traditional debit card, you are limited to in-store purchases. With the Debit Mastercard® you can make purchases in-store and online. With either purchase type, the funds will come directly from your KCCU account.
If you’re a new member, you’ll receive a Debit Mastercard® when you open a new account and request card access.
If you’re an existing KCCU debit card holder, you can expect to receive a new Debit Mastercard® to replace your expiring debit card close to your card expiry date.
If you’re an existing member and would like to upgrade to the Debit Mastercard®, please visit any KCCU branch and we would be happy to assist you. Your card will be mailed to your home in 2-3 weeks
When you receive your card in the mail, be sure to check the sticker on it, which indicates that you must complete your first transaction by entering your PIN at an ATM or with a merchant to activate your Debit Mastercard®.
KCCU will no longer issue regular debit cards; however, while the Debit Mastercard® offers many added features and benefits, it can still be used just like a standard debit card if you choose not to make online purchases.
