  • November 21, 2024 KCCU acheives 45 years of 100% staff participation during the 2024 United Way Workplace Campaign

    Kingston Community Credit Union (KCCU) has once again demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community by raising $13,916 for the United Way KFL&A through their annual workplace campaign. This generous donation, along with a corporate donation from the Board of Directors, will go towards supporting many worthy community organizations in the Kingston area.

    KCCU has achieved 100% staff participation in the workplace campaign for an incredible 45 consecutive years. This speaks volumes about the dedication and generosity of KCCU's staff, who are setting a wonderful example for workplaces in Kingston, Frontenac Lennox & Addington.

    KCCU is proud to support the United Way KFL&A and their mission to improve the lives of those in need in our community. With their continued commitment to giving back, KCCU is making a positive impact and helping to create a brighter future for all.

    Our used book sale benefiting the Kingston Interval House kicked off Monday, October 21st, and ran until November 8th, 2024.   • August 7, 2024 KCCU Announces Appointment of Dominic Naimool as General Counsel
  • KCCU is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dominic Naimool as General Counsel, effective June 22, 2024. Dominic represents a new generation of digitally empowered developer lawyers, uniquely equipped to address the ever-evolving technical landscape of cooperative finance and Canadian finance more broadly. As General Counsel, Dominic's main responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance, managing legal risks, drafting and negotiating contracts, advising on corporate governance, handling disputes and litigation, and supporting member relations. He will also play a crucial role in policy development, training and education, intellectual property management, and promoting ethical behavior and compliance within the organization.   • July 19, 2024 KCCU was not directly impacted by the world-wide Microsoft OS update issue.   
  • KCCU was not directly impacted by the world-wide Microsoft OS update. An update to a security software used on many Microsoft system had a failure, preventing the Microsoft OS from rebooting properly.  KCCU’s member banking services and systems were NOT impacted – KCCU banking, online banking, mobile banking and the three branch ATMs remained up and running normally. Some member deposits and transfers to and from other institutions were delayed, as many of the financial institutions and networks at the other end of the transaction were impacted.

  • Our fundraising BBQ held on July 5th raised $1,200 for Kingston 4Paws!  Special thanks to our Social and Fundraising Committee for all their hard work in making the event a success and to all the volunteers from Kingston 4Paws who attended with their dogs.
  • June 14, 2024 KCCU pledges a $100,000 donation to Pathways to Education Endowment Fund
  • Kingston Community Credit Union (KCCU) has committed to provide a donation of $25,000 annually to the Pathways to Education Endowment Fund for four years for a total donation of $100,000.  The first donation of $25,000 was provided late in 2023 and the second installment today. These funds from KCCU will provide crucial support to the endowment fund, ensuring its sustainability and impact of the Facilitator of Alumni Relations role for years to come.  Details.
  • June 4, 2024 KCCU donates $5,000 to Kingston Climate Action Fund 2024
  • Kingston Community Credit Union CEO, Jon Dessau, presented Kingston Mayor Bryan Paterson and Shawn Krall, Dr. Kaitlyn Patterson and Maureen Buchanan of All Our Relations Land Trust with a $5,000 donation toward the Kingston Community Climate Action Fund (KCCAF). This marks the fourth year that KCCU has matched donations made by local Kingston residents to the fund by up to $5,000 each year. Details

  • Collabria has identified a suspicious website, collabriacreditcards.life, which appears to be a phishing site designed to capture Collabria cardholder details.  We want to assure you that Collabria’s security team is actively working to address the risk and mitigate any potential harm to our cardholders.   • The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Kingston Community Credit Union is an opportunity for members to connect and learn more about their credit union. The AGM is held for the purpose of reviewing the past year’s performance and accomplishments as well as addressing specific areas of the business of the credit union, such as approving financial statements, appointing external auditors, approving Special Resolutions or By-law changes (as applicable), and filling board vacancies. The AGM is an opportunity to hear reports from our Board and CEO and to learn first-hand how we support the financial well-being of our members and our community. Our 2023 Annual General Meeting will take place in person on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Donald Gordon Hotel & Conference Centre, 421 Union Street.   • A CNIB (Canadian Institute for the Blind) client card bearing the individual’s photo and signature

  • An employee identification card (with photo) issued by an employer that is well known in the community (i.e. KGH, DND, Queens University, Corrections Canada, etc.)
